Did you find that using compositional balance allowed you to create a photograph that guided you through the entire composition? I feel using compositional balance allowed my eyes to look at the whole picture smoothly rather than just one object straight on. The way I arranged some of the objects and position of the camera I took the pictures in helped my eyes guide through the picture.
Which of the strategies I suggested, if any, did you use to create compositional balance? I used a lot of repetition in my pictures, for instance the hairspray bottles, and make up brushes. I took the pictures on an angle so they looked like they kept on going like in the nail polish photo. I also used reflection to show balance by having my brother stand in the window.
What are some problems you encountered when creating balance and how did you solve them? While doing this project, there were many problems I encountered. I didn't know exactly how to show balance, and I didn't know which objects I could use to create balance. Also, it was difficult to take the picture with my brother in the window because his shadow wasn't showing up too well. The flash on my camera also affected the picture, but when I turned it off, you could barely see his face in the window.
