Was negative space beneficial?
I feel negative space was very beneficial in my photographs. In order for the shadows to show up clear and dark, I needed a blank backround so that the shadows were more visible and captured the shape of the object.
Did you find using shadows in your pictures create a line of symmetry?
I feel that using shadows somewhat created a line of symmetry. In the photo of the candle and the trophy, a line of symmetry was there. For the markers, however, since they were put on an angle against an object, the line of symmetry is not as visible.
Did you choose to use natural or artificial lighting ?
I chose to use artificial lighting. I felt this worked better than natural lighting because I could control how light/dark I wanted the picture to be. Also, unlike using natural lighting, the pictures weren't washed out by the lighting being too bright.
